Client: Work from my former position as Senior Graphic Designer at Fleet Science Center in San Diego, CA.
Challenges:
Complete all projects within seven days, using only materials in-house, and staying within our limited nonprofit budget. Our building was also the lead for the park's green initiative and our material usage was watched closely, focusing on reuse and recycling. Daily tasks ranged from designing business cards and Google ads, to installing floor-to-ceiling wall vinyl panels. Every designer was responsible for every step of their projects: quoting, design, presentations, revisions, printing, and application.
Achievements:
• Lead organizer for LGBT+ STEM day. Brought together all departments for a day of free, hands-on events in our main gallery. Created supporting materials, installed exhibit pieces, and managed all volunteers for event.
• Reduced monthly brochures cost and hours by half, by updating layout and internal editing process.
• Restructured organization's entire photo bank, opening access to all departments.
• Created new file saving methods to help team with consistency and collaborating.
• Lead designer for annual fundraising gala.
• 'Team Basement' captain and head of team morale/office decorating.
